Smile I'm Being TEMPTED...

It's beginning to look a lot like spring in these 'ere parts. And I have a little devilish voice in the back of my head whispering "summer tires". Anyone else hearing this voice yet? I know we are getting towards the end of February and as March approaches my car is just begging to be driven harder. I am going to put on my first spring coat of wax today even though it's not quite spring yet.

My baby T-Rex is getting a makeover. WooHoo.

After the past 2 days here in Northern Virginia with temps above 40 I have been looking longingly at the summer tires in the garage, but I know that its just a trick and I am going to wait until March 15th before I seriously think about switching back. But I definitely here the call ............

Man, I here you. Drop the 8 off for tires and take the 7 to work. Wait, no, I need my teath in my head when I get there. Guess I'll have to wait for next weekend. I've got the Proxes TS-1s on my 7 and love them. So much better than these bridgestone pieces of **** mazda gave us.

I never took them off! Well, I just bought my car a month ago, so I really didn't have much chance to get snow tires and all. Just drove the beater around in the snow!

I'm in Germany and can't wait to get my summer wheels on! I just know if I jump the gun, ice will come the day after I slap em on. If nothing by Mid-March, on they go!

Alright the temptation proved to be too much. Summer tires are on! I am driving out to Vancouver, BC next week and just couldn't think of another decent trip with the winters on. Oh sweet bliss... I forgot how good this car handles with the summer tires, I was used to and happy with it while the winters were on but this afternoon I was reminded of what I have been missing.

Came real close to just putting them on, but today, so far we've got nearly a foot of the white stuff and it's still coming! Damn, might have to wait till April
