I'm a WANKEL
Just got notice from Washington State DoL that my request for my personalized plate, WANKEL, has been accepted. Frankly, I was surprised to see that it hadn't already been taken. I was also somewhat surprised that DoL didn't consider it to be a "rude or obscene phrase."
In any event, the pain of not getting "RX-8," "ROTARY," or "BYEBYE" is now eased.

Ride Naked!
Shure you are not a ******? I think they would have had a problem with that one! I've wanted to get "SPDBUMP" due to all the SUVs and jacked up pickups on the road.

Back in 1978 I got my first car, a 1963 Ford Fairlane with a tired old 289, but it was jacked up, had mags and wide tires and dual glasspacks. It sounded a lost faster than it was. I was 16 and living in Tacoma at the time.
I still remember the license plate number (on the old white and green plates long before personalized plates).

Even though it wasn't as fast as I imagined it to be, I still thought that the plate was appropriate.
Ah, the good old days, except that there wasn't an RX-8 then.
