So on a whim i installed the K&N Typhoon Kit, other than possibly being stronger than I realize and snapping something plastic, it works. Sounds great at WOT, quiet when not. Im not going for HP, just reading forums can be confusing sometimes, "opinions are like buttholes, everyone's got one" I guess Im just thinking out loud more than asking anything, it seems solid, granted it is colder out, ill see how it does in the summer, if i dont see any change from spring, ill keep it cuz it just works, but if I do notice something bad, ill consider the MS kit, though i heard its not for rainy states like ours where it gets alot of standing water and downpoors, not that I would drive this through the puddles anyways.
Anyone out there install a K&N and just keep it all year round? or did you guys hate it and replace it?
Im interested in NW members opinions....

Gotta Love Two Strokes
I put the K&N on years ago and keep it on all of the time. It roughens the idle, but it is nowhere near as rough as my injected ElCamino or my hi compression Alfa Romeo.

Opinions are like butt holes but the K&N short ram has been shown to lose HP on a dyno. But if you got it for the noise then yes, aftermarket intakes do sound good ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
The threads on the K&N causing erratic idle, etc. are countless. But K&N is not alone, there have been other problem intakes as well.
