Final Payment Update

I just posted Kris' links in the first post for the appropriate final payment amount next to each person's name. As I receive confirmation from Kris that you've paid I will update the first post.

If you are going to bring cash please PM me and I will respond with the amount to bring for each party as well as update the first post with that information so there is a clear understanding on what you need to bring.

Update on Snow tires

I spoke to Kito last week on Snow tires and he said to make sure you are using speed rated tires over 130MPH in case we want to do 5th gear pulls. Snow tires are not speed rated and cannot handle the higher temperatures a 5th gear pull would see on the dyno or repeated pulls. He has had people blow out their snow tires on the dyno.

Please switch to your speed rated tires Friday night before the event if you are on snows. I know the weather is a little dicey right now so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Long term prediction shows sunny and 47 degrees, but that could change as we all know it.

Man... Anyone ever tried to fit their 4 wheels in the car? I bet you could do it...

I'll pay on the site when I get home tonight.

yeah i have but it's a tight fit. shaun thinks we should just put on the summers though so save time at the dyno. that should work fine.

It's a 4 wheel dyno so I think we'll need 4. Those damn popular Subies and Evos. Of course now we don't have to worry about traction control pestering us etc.

Good question. I'm not sure if all 4 rollers are turned when there is power to just 2 or not. Anyone know if a Mustang 4 wheel dyno spins all 4 rollers when just two wheels are provding the power?

I just sent a note to Mike at Kitoauto to find out if we have snow on that day what we can do.

Again I would rather everyone come on their summer tires so we don't burn time switching tires but if it snows we'll need a backup plan for sharing summer rubber so I'll find out.

On a "4-wheel" dyno, if the front wheels of the car aren't powered, those rollers aren't turning.

Thanks. I figured you would know.

Okay. So if it gets dicey Friday night and Saturday and you need to show up on snows please bring 2 summers if you have them on separate rims so we can share. I can bring 2 summers with me if I show up on snows and can share them.

You've paid your $50 deposit and $177.50 is the TOTAL amount for the event. So your balance is the difference plus the tax and Paypal fees and should be $145.10.

I will come up for the event, but right now I don't know if Fluid Motorsports is going to have my stuff out to me in time. I don't want to buy the tuner if I don't have the other things done...even though I won't get on the dyno, it would be nice to have a quality person look at what the readings are. Oh well...see you all next Sat!

On PIA's four wheel dyno the front rollers were connected to the rear rollers via belt or chain. I believe they have a Mustang Dyno, but I'm not certain.

The Mustang 4-wheel dynos can be set to only run 2-wheel.
On the 1100 series, you just click a radio button in the software.

Mike from Kito Auto got back to me and told me they can run with only the rear wheels in 2WD mode but no studded tires are allowed on the dyno period so if you have studded tires you can't use them at all.

I just updated the first post with all the folks that have paid. Also I realized I incorrectly calculated how much the cash people owe Jeff. Sorry about that. I fixed it.

That might be a bit tricky since the maps are locked to a specific AccessPORT and can only be installed on one car at a time.
