Arrow June TWR Drive - String of Pearls - 24 June

Sun, 24 Jun 2007 Return to the String of Pearls
As usual, we're meeting at 10am, and leaving at 11am.

http://www.the-winding-road.com/modu...ent.php?eid=19

I know the 1st anniversary is the Paper anniversary, but I couldn't think up a good sounding name for the drive that included paper.

For June we're returning to the drive that started it all. The String of Pearls, aka Whidbey Island. It's hard to believe we've been at this for a year (granted, under another guise to start), but we have.

Special Thanks to 05TiGr8Lady for the pre-lunch portion of the drive. This was a great way to get onto the island, so mess with it.

Absolutely you can come.

HA! By then, she'll have plenty of experience in the kar...at least 3-4 years of counter-steerin' and what-not.

I'll try to make this one. It's my and Robbie's two-year anniversary on Saturday, but he's going to be out of the country, so I might as well find some way to amuse myself that weekend. LOL

It just depends on how my arm is doing. It's looking like I may be needing another surgery again, this time at the wrist level for the same nerve problem. Grrrr!!!!!!!!!

Cool. If you do come, BG, I'd suggest making at least part of the trip Saturday, our meeting spot is about an hour north of me, so driving from home would put you on the road around 6.

I was originally planning on bringing dogs and buns but if that's covered let me know what we need and I will bring it.

Soda?
Chips?
napkins/plates/cups?

Well, it's always nice to have choice. It would be great if one of you could bring dogs and the other burgers. And since Shaun posted about dogs at TWR first, I think he's got dibs on that.

I've got the basics covered - utensils, plates, cups, napkins, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish). I usually bring 'em, so I've got quite the stockpile

I guess that would mean asking jisoo26 if his couch is free if I decide to come. LOL!

Or I could possibly just drive up for the meal.

That would work, and the second half of the drive heads back south any how.

Tell him that this time we aren't taking any excuses from him as to why he can't make it!!!! If he doesn't wanna drive his 8, then you could take him up to the BBQ and he can ride back with me.

1 week to go. The Route Flip Charts are almost ready to go to press, so if you want one, please register sooner rather than later. I used Kinko's in April, but that was pricey, so I really need to use a proper printing press this time around, which means lead time. I'll have a couple extra copies.

Of course, whether you register or not, you're welcome to come. Just remember, once the registered drivers get their Route Books, it's first come first served.

The question is....does she scare easily? We tend to fly, so there is a lot of hanging on!
