Hey guys, I'm new here, I live in Vancouver, Wa, but I don't drive a RX. I have a Mazda3 with some goodies. I know this road very well and <3 driving. I kept up with a R3 once, but lost him in the straights. I think I met a couple of you at the MNW Chehalis BBQ.

I'm still looking forward to this drive! There also another RX8 guy I know who will try to make it out. And I may be able to borrow some walkie-talkies from a friend, but no promises.
It should also be said that this is a weekend drive, and there will be 'Sunday' drivers out there. Lots of people go to Windy Ridge on the weekends and can be found going very slow in the funnest twisty sections, and pulled off on the roadside admiring scenery and such when you might not be expecting it. Stay in your lane, DO NOT over run the yellow center line! Depending on our timing, we may also see a large number of sportbikes on a memorial ride which covers part of our route. And also some sportbike friends of mine doing a poker run which will be making a stop at Windy Ridge. Also expect to see a Sheriff or two and some FS Rangers.
So the meet-up is at 9am, what time is the roll-out? Are we eating breakfast at the Oak Tree first?

These times aren't exact, but I think it should be roughly ~6 hours from Woodland to Windy Ridge and back to Woodland.
I don't know what time everyone else wants to leave Woodland. But if people just want to grab a quick bite to eat in town and gas up and meet at ~9am, we can roll out at say 9:30am. I think the rest of the day will work out about like this:
9:30 - Leave Woodland
10:15 - Cougar (Short break ~10-15min, gas, restrooms, last store for our next ~120miles)
10:55 - Ranger Station (Short Break ~5-10min)
11:50 - Bear Meadow (Short Break ~5-10min)
12:15 - Windy Ridge (Longer break ~30-45min, walk to top, Etc…)
2:30 - Cougar (Late Lunch - Cougar Bar & Grill)
4:15 - Back in Woodland

It will likely run a little too late for you.

Yeah, definitely a bit too late for me. Guess that's what happens when I work Saturdays. Maybe some other time.

Oak Tree Restaurant
1020 Atlantic Avenue, Woodland, WA
I wish I had new brakes too..... and tires... and good front end alignment, but this should keep things interesting for me. I think I'll be alright on my still original brakes.
