Mt St Helens Drive!! July 31st??

Time to do a drive to Mt St Helens. If you ever wanted to push your RX-8 on back roads then you will love the drive! Aipex8 set this up 2 years ago and it was an absolute blast! It is a long drive but more than worth it. Incredible scenery and awesome twisty roads that go for miles! The drive will require your full attention so be smart. Also there are small towns we drive through so no jack asses and be respectful.

Not set on a date but thinking Saturday July 31st.

So who is interested?

Saw http://www.mazdasnw.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6016 the day you posted this, but I'll hang out with my own kind before mixing company with those piston people
Plus this rout looks like it would give the wife's Dramamine a better workout

So you can put me down as 'most likely'

In!

I did that route by myself in the 8 at the end of summer last year. Very good twisties! That's also one of our regular motorcycle routes. I'll be taking my cbr up there at least once this week. They've just finished cleaning the road up (except the last mile of 99) and reopened it last week.

Sorry I have not been responding in this thread.

From Seattle it is 230 miles total. It is 145 miles to Woodland and then get on 503 for run

Seems like the Woodland area would be a good meet up point for everyone. Anyone know a good spot?

Just ordered Mazmart's waterpump and thermostat, so hopefully I should be good to go. On a related note, pdxhak and BG-8, you guys still up for an install day?

If you guys need a hand and I'm not busy I'd love to help you out. I'd like to get my hands dirty on these beasts.

Yeah, I have a garage, but it's single car (townhouse). BBQ sounds good too! I should be getting my parts on the 9th, so any weekend after that.

My coils ship on 7/12 so let's plan on 7/18. Let me confirm everything with my wife but we should be good.

Deminic, you are more than welcomed to come hangout
