My new car!
Allright guys, I finally got it. Last night I ended up driving for 3 hours, I love this car! Pic's and stories to follow in this thread. Anyone planning anything for this weekend?

Black on Black on Black 2004. I tryed to take some pic's last night, but its hard with a black car at night. Its the sport package so it has DSC and no spoiler grey + black cloth interior. The plus' are the Mazdaspeed dual exaust, light weight flywheel (mazdaspeed) Ray's wheels (black gold) and dark tint. I really love this car.

Hey, you've got tell them about all the firsts this makes for you. If you don't soon, I'll have a hard time keeping my big trap shut. I guess this will serve as my OFFICIAL "Welcome to the Dark Side" post.
I'm going to do some digging through my notes to find a, ummmm, tame? run for the weekend so you can get a better feel for the car.
BTW, how was your drive to work this morning.

heh, you are right, I should tell them. This is my first manual transmission... first performance car and first rotary. So I've got a lot of firsts goin' for/against me.
I was really nervous this morning on the way to work... cause I am still used to getting right up behind people in traffic, since an automatic will idle and pull you forward you can do that.... with a manual its not so easy and requires you to ride the clutch or risk stalling when you get closer to 0mph... so I rode the clutch... which I shouldn't do. I should put some space between me and the car ahead and just hope the car behind me doesn't get to close so I don't have to worry if I roll back just a little bit. I hear eventually I will get really used to all this... but its tough right now starting out. I don't stall but I do ride the clutch probably longer than I should.
Reguardless of my trials and tribulations I love this car, I should be used to it by the end of the month (hopefully the end of the week) with how often I've driven it so far.

The biggest word of advice I can give you on this forum is to search first before asking questions. There is a TON of info (like brake squeal, mileage, oil consumption, etc.) that has already been discussed since 2003, and as a newbie, you will take a lot of flack for not searching. Be sure to read the "sticky" threads at the beginning of each section.
And yes, welcome to squeaky brake land .
