I just got my very first rotary, an '04 RX-8 in winning blue. Got it last Sunday and went straight to the beach house.

Anyways, I was wondering if there was anyone in the Hillsboro area that would want to meet up and go for a drive or something. Maybe hit up a Tony's after a drive?

We go on monthly drive and this month we are doing two. here is one of them.
TWR Night Drive - 18 August

A Mid Summer Night's Drive

You asked for one, so here it is. August brings the first ever TWR Night Drive. Join the hunt Saturday evening, August 18th, for A Mid Summer Night's Drive. We'll meet in Redmond and follow backroads to Monroe and beyond.

Note, this event will be held in addition to the regular Sunday Drive you've come to expect.

If you're one of the folks who've been asking for this, be sure to show up. I'll do more if there's attendance to justify it.

TWR August Drive - 26 August

Gallons and Getaways

We're paying tribute to the Prohibition Era Rum Runners who invented the Hot Rod. So get out your Zoot Suits (gentlemen) and flappers (ladies), we're returning to the Roaring Twenties for a trip through Wine Country.

Just like with the Sports Car Formal in December, I'm serious about enjoying this event in style. Costumes are optional, of course, but it's fun to be a bit silly on occasion.

The drives sound great, but, I don't think I'll be able to do it. I won't have the money. I only got the 8 because my parents had given me a car and that one was totaled by a drunk driver, and this is the replacement. I doubt they would spring for the gas money for something like that.

Thats why I was thinking of some little drive-in around the Hillsboro/Beaverton/Portland area. Maybe go to Sonic or hit up a hookah bar.
