New bunny pics!
Well, here are pics of the new bunnies. They aren't the greatest because my camera is super slow at actually taking the picture after you push the button and they just wouldn't sit still and cooperative. LOL
These ones are Sweetie. She's a Netherland dwarf and is five weeks old.
These ones are Dust Bunny, a.k.a. Dusty. He's a Holland lop and is seven weeks old. His ears haven't lopped all the way, but they'll only end up lopping about halfway, so they'll stick straight out like and be "helicopter ears."

I have been waiting forever for a Holland Lop!!!!!!!!!! The breeder was supposed to mate them about 3 months ago and hasn't returned my emails. I'm pissed and now jealous of lil Dusty.

Well, it turns out Dusty had health problems when my mom took them both to the vet for a health check this afternoon. So, she returned Dusty and got a different Holland, yet to be named. She just dropped by my work so I could see him. He's not as fluffy as Dusty and his ears are a bit longer, so they pretty much fully lop, but he's still really cute, with less fur maintenance. He's a white, orange, and dark gray tricolor. Will have to post pics of him when I get some.

If you aren't looking for show quality bunnies (which we weren't) you can occasionally find them in pet stores, although not as often as other types. But I know what you mean about waiting forever. When I got my first bunny I was originally looking for a Holland, but couldn't find any anywhere and we looked for several months. I ended up settling on a ruby-eyed white Netherland dwarf, which was my second choice of breed. We just finally had to put her to sleep last week. She was one month shy of being 8 years old. That's why we got two new bunnies, as a replacement. We already have two Netherlands, a blue seal point male (Baby) and a sable point female (Bitty). We figured when we got a replacement we'd get a male and female of the same age so they would be a pair as we had some "issues" bringing in additional bunnies after they became adults, so it took awhile to get them to get along, although they will still occasionally fight, which they've been doing a lot of in the week since Bunny Girl passed.

OMG.. cute! All of them! Thanks for the pics Tiff!
Reesies sort of looks like a chinchilla - the fur is really cool looking. A little like my Rex.

Thx BG.. She WAS a big bunny - she's long gone now and I never got another. My ex was allergic, so I gave her to one of my sisters. I was told that Rex's are raised for meat and fur - they get as big as the big California white rabbits - who are, from what I heard, the "cows" of the rabbit world... bunny burgers...
