New Guy

Hello everybody. Just got my 8 last Saturday and couldnt be happier. Just wondering where to get my car cleaned because it sure does get dirty fast in the Seattle area with all the rain. Anybody else from the Renton area?

make sure to hand wash it in those self service washes their brushes will scratch up the paint.

I'd just pay the extra dough and have a good handwash place wash it. I let Kar Brite wash mine here in town. I have a membership there so I get a discount on the washings (by purchasing 10 up front) and I get a discount on my gas too. When you normally pay about $1.959 per gallon I'm closer to $1.819 per gallon. Either way enjoy the your new baby. :D

Welcome and congratulations. If you're looking for a drive-thru car wash that won't scratch your paint, I'd recommend "White Swan" at the Chevron station (324 Central Way) in Kirkland. (Take the 85th St. exit west off 405.) They also do a great job on the interior and have excellent hand wash and "express" detailing at considerably less than the going rate for those services in the area. I've used them for years on a variety of cars and never had a problem with paint damage. (Can't say the same for the various Brown Bear locations.)

Cool. Yeah I was wondering about those Brown Bear places. I'm new to the area. Just moved from Atlanta a month ago.

Welcome. It's cooler here. More trees. Bigger mountains. But you can't order grits with breakfast.
