newbie saying hello

hey yall im moving to washington state from texas in august. I recentley purchased a 2006 rx8 mt winning blue with 44000 miles. SO far im addicted so much fun to drive compared to my 300zx na. Well just wanted to say hello and ask yall where i should start with mods with a budget of 1000. Already tinted and have tenzo type m v1 wheels on the way.

well hey you get to take my spot since i had the same color haha i leave in june to go back home to missouri. even though im still yet to make a meet

welcome! you might need that 1k for some reliability mods like ignition at 44k.. otherwise look at the afe short shifter, maybe an exhaust? those are some fun ones.

glad i can keep the winning blue its got to be the best color around in my opinion.

igniton really? is that an issue for rx 8? would you lower it first before exhaust?

not really an issue but the ignition coils do go bad around that mileage, at least mine did.

as for mods it really depends on what you want to do with the car. exhaust is fun for dirving around town as well as spirited driving or track time so that's a good all around one. suspension is harder cause you need to decide what you like and how low/stiff you want your ride.

the rx8 handles like it's on rails, i would go w/ exhaust and intake, racing beat has a good setup for both (http://racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm) (http://racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm) total for both is $1114.00

HELLO! Welcome welcome! I recommend AEM intake, Racing beat headers and sway bars for 1k.
