For meets I would recommend meeting someplace locally, then driving some good roads to a food destination. I used to do this quite a bit with a couple of motorcycle groups. We'd meet in Redmond, ride all of the good roads out to Carnation, eat lunch, then ride more good roads back home. There are some great roads between redmond and Carnation. Just my 2 cents.

Skinless, great idea... Can you put together a list of options for us - cool twisty scenic roads with good places to eat along the way?

And anyone else... ideas? See the list I started earlier....

I used to always take Fall City to 204th Place NE, right on NE Union Hill Road, Right on 238th Ave NE, Left on NE Union Hill Road, Left on NE Ames Lake Road, then follow that out to Carnation. Sometimes followed up by a ride to Snoqualmie Falls. However, I did a little searching today and found two great sites for good roads in Washington:

dmp - what are the best conditions for great pix?

Here's a start:

1. Alki on the east side, at the Don Armeni Boat Launch with the Seattle skyline in the background

2. Highbridge (is that the right name?) like our original plan discussed at Claim Jumper (before everyone started bailing on us )
3. Mt Rainier
4. Over Stevens Pass and back through Blewitt or Snoqualmie passes
5. Tacoma area (eat at dmp's place )
6. Cascade Loop - North Cascades Highway (20), then back on either Steven's, or Blewitt/Snoqualmie. Or even longer, back over Chinook or White pass through Rainier NP.

yikes! No-no...I don't have a yard per se - we could do a bbq at 'TheHouse' where my wife and kids live.

The shot did NOT turn out - can't make out anyone's faces...lots of grain and harsh lighting.

LOL... We can do it where ever... just some place in Tacoma/so-end would work...

Oh bummer... I was hoping that shot worked...

I saw the version of it that blakew15 posted briefly - the one with you walking to your car to get in the shot, but it disappeared!!

Darren, you need to enter the reflection shot in some photo contests. That's just plain sick.

I guess I gotta put some time into my drive website. I've got lots of stuff to reccomend, but it takes too long to go through my notes right now.

That's so weird... I swore there was a pic posted of all the cars with us standing by them, and FABRO was by his car and dmp was walking toward his 8 with his back to the camera - his 8 was next to mine, so I know it was him. I thought that pic was part of the ones that you posted though... When I went back to look at it again, it was gone... Yeah, guess it must be FABRO's...
