well that is a rather open ended question/statement. if you do it then you can be part of the small group of FI 8s in the PACNW.

There is a Pettit S/C 8 and two turbo 8s (including me) that I know of in Oregon. There is a turbo 8 and Pettit S/C 8 (dondo) in Washington. And there is dannobre with his turbo in Canada. I'd imagine there are a few others that we do not know about as well.

Once you get some boost, you are going to be hooked! Nemesis8 is on the fence but it is not going to be long before he takes the plunge.

do you have any advice or things you might have done differently, I noticed your pictures in your garage had no pictures of the turbo build

All the build pics are on FD3S Engineering Facebook page. If you have an account I will send you the link. I plan to do a build thread soon and with their permission use some of their pics.

If I were doing it again I would have gone slower. I would have done more research and bought a few more parts. It may have been 45 days or less from buying the kit and getting it installed and then tuned. I bought a really good used kit that had a lot the extras you want or need. All I added to the kit was the BNR wastegate which works as advertised! Later this year I will look into upgrading the intercooler and definitely doing a few cooling mods for track days.

Have you decided on a kit? Or you thinking custom top mount?

thanks, I am working at a snail pace, I and a friend are doing all fabrication our selves, it will be a top mount, there is progress I just dont like progressive build threads that last months, so I will start one on the backside of the build.

I am working on a sticky (hopefully) adressing little details that are overlooked til the end

Theres a greddy VR running around northen seattle area.

Take your time and work on that tune. Theres someone (wont name) who ran without a tune and popped a motor. Feeling of coming up on boost is addicting. Ill have my ecstasy shortly.

Lip is all CF. It is not CF over fiberglass. Car is managed by Cobb and tuned by MM.
