The muffler appears to be sticking out to far. I could maybe push it back an inch but than the radius of the bend ends up very close to the camber bolt. Add that I wanted a good inch plus past the very outermost part of the bumper to prevent burning or the typical blacking of the bumper
there's some reasoning for what I did and I have a few minor tweaks I'll prob get around to this weekend if I have time.
Not saying this is an original idea. I wanted to do something different for awhile with a single sided exhaust as I've always hated dual exhausts. As well as hated the rx8 big pillow type mufflers. Just never knew how I was going to chop my bumper up. When I saw the 8 posted in the cork sport single sided exhaust thread with how he delt with his bumper, I was sold. Fired up the chop saw and welders and went to town.
Now I just need a good quality craftsman belt sander for sanding tubing more flat/trimming to get slightly more angle. Still learning with the chop saw to cut a perfect angle than using the grinder to trim more. Belt sander to add to the long list of stuff to buy to make the fd build go faster...that's another novel to type.
My car used to be an inch+ lower but I raised it back for autocross and function. Getting my autoexe bracing stuck on speed bumps also sucks. I'm also running hankook rs3 285s all around and any lower with the same positive camber I'm at now would prob do fender damage. As of now they just clear.
Fitment = how wide of a tire I can run.

^^ sounds like it took a long time and very hard.
When i painted and bondo my s13 it took forever too.
better to be different then looking the same as everyone else's car.

The first car in the Corksport thread is Aipex8
The second car which I believe is the one you are referring to is the JIC RX8. A few have discussed doing this but no one had the ***** to cut their bumper! Looking forward to seeing your car in person so I can check it out.

Sure caused some flak and a lot do not like it. Im okay with that. But there is some tweaking I will be doing to finalize the look! I need a pair of OEM rear splash guards to give a beefer look to the rear. Next time you see my car in person I hope to have my MS stuff on the car. Still looking for a wing!!! /sigh

New front bumper, R3 skirts, fender flares, S2 rear bumper and taillights. New wheels. We will see how it goes next year. I need to finish up the turbo setup and cooling mods this year. Working 6+ days a week is not allowing me to get in the garage.
Well I did buy a new shift ****. Pretty sure I can hand the install on that regardless how much I work. My CF round shift **** gets ice cold in the Winter and really hot in the Summer so I'm going back a leather cover shift ****. Should be here in two weeks.
