i drive barefoot most days to work, cause i teeter around in stilts all day. and 4" heels are kinda troublesome to drive in. so, for now, i'll be trying it out barefoot! i'll guess we'll see if that's a good idea in about 5 minutes... lol

I hate the way our pedals feel on bare feet... I've only driven barefoot once or twice.

Also, heel-and-toe is way easier in my flipflops than in my shoes, so +1 on what Scott said.

Time to get some Ferraris!

I do not know of anyone sponsored but there are members that part of a program to get mazdaspeed parts at a discount because they track their cars.

Mazda has a contingency program for pretty much every race series you can think of (including National level AutoX). So technically... everyone is sponsored by Mazda? A lot of locals put the required 3 Mazdaspeed logos on their cars (One on the hood and one on each side, I forget the exact location requirements). I think taking 1st at a National AutoX event is $400, or was last year...

Then Eric Meyer is on the boards, his team is XOWII racing: http://www.xowii-racing.com/Home/Home.html I don't think they have direct Mazda sponsorship either, however they get contingencies for putting the Mazdaspeed logos on their car and for the series he runs in, they're much bigger

If you're curious, the 2010 Contingencies are listed here: http://mazdamotorsports.com/pdfs/con...ontingency.pdf

PDX is right about the Mazda Motorsports parts discount too. If you go to 2 events per year, you get all Mazda parts at dealer cost. In some cases, it's a really big discount and AutoX events count, so long as you're competing (I used an event where I competed in Novice as one of mine). I think they explicitly say you can't be running in Time Only.

yea. i sit at a desk for most of the day... only do a bit of walking back and forth to the copy room, and stand to fold all the laundry... but i can run a marathon in spike heels anyway, so it's no big deal.
