yeah and the governor- who thought of these fee hikes- thinks he will get re-elected.

of course he wants to gps track every car too for a mileage tax. as if a gps device is necessary for calculating the mileage the car has driven.....

Massachusetts did this when Romney took over... went from $95/yr for a vanity plate to $205. If I'd gotten my license one year earlier it would've cost $15 instead of $35... speeding tickets went up too. Are those going up in OR?

Interesting how all the $$ collected from our backside will "help" fund various ODOT projects. Why is Oregon still not open to a fair sales tax that will hit ALL people who goes through this state??? I'm tired of Oregon picking on the select few (whether it is smokers, alcohol drinkers, and soon, soda consumers) to fund their pet projects, when it can hit everyone evenly based on consumption...this SO sucks...

When the government said, "Read my lips, 'No new taxes,'" they really meant, "OH! Don't read the fine print. We'll tax you via other means that does not require your vote. Bend over and say, AH~"

Jedi, it is not like California so we are fortunate in that regard. I have paid high 600's when i used to live in NORCAL. What irks me though is the high percentage of the increase.
