PIR and ORP with Proformance Aug. 29, 30, & 31

Now that it is getting closer, just thought I would post a tiny check list:
At ORP you are in the middle of nowhere, so...
I would have some cash on hand just in case.
Bring enough oil!!! I like to bring three quarts per day to be safe and don't forget the return trip
Bring drinks and snacks. The hotel should have ice to keep things cool.
Bring hand sanitizer. ORP only has Honey Pots.
There is gas onsite and they take credit cards.
I will be calling my credit card co. before heading out to let them know I will be buying a lot of gas. You will probably not have cell service and if your cc co. cuts you off for security reasons thinking it's been stolen you're screwed.
Finally check your brakes. If you are at half or under, I would at least buy an extra set of pads in case you use them up on one day. The last half goes quicker. I will be bringing tools so we can change out pads onsite if necessary.
Brakes are used a lot at ORP. They are used on turns 1,2,3,4,7,8,11,13,14,16
If I think of anything else I'll post later.

OK, here's the TANKERG vs dondo video at ORP!!!
setup: dondo and I had been in seperate groups both days, and on the final session the groups were combined. Dondo needed gas so I went out onto the track. After a lap or two I saw the flagger at the start/finish sticking her arm out (at the start of the video) holding up a car wanting onto the track. As I passed I looked in my mirror to see if it was dondo, and it was. So I backed off a bit and let him catch up; then the race began!

It's too bad you left, the track walk was really eye opening. Michael took us out for over 2 hours. It's always so surprising how much being in the car flattens everything out. The half pipe is way steeper than it seems and there's just nothing level on that track. Even the attached cell pic flattens the half pipe out. There are so many little dips that aren't really visible from the car but explain the line a lot better.
Must go back.

It was nice meeting the both of you too. Yeah I wanted to walk it, but it was getting late with a long drive back to Seattle.
Cool picture too, and I agree, that track has to be seen/experienced to understand how crazy it really is. The g-force sensations of T5 make it my favorite turn.
Yeah, one of you made it in the video. Dondo lead the charge on the let by

As I expected, I'm in the market for new tires now, the outside of the fronts wore poorly and I didn't have the lug key to rotate. On the plus side, I didn't have any chunking issues with the tires. I think the car just needs more camber up front to keep those wearing evenly.

how about those ORP pics?
Here are the PIR pics:

Yup, those look to be what I'll try next, not too many real options on 19s. There's some very small sidewall damage on one of the rears, which is the main thing I was thinking about. I'll have someone with more of a clue take a look at it and if thats fine, I'll just run them down more. They're not bad, just the outer shoulder.

For prints, the metallic ink is worth the extra couple bucks IMO. Since cars usually have a metallic paint job, the prints match up a lot better. With the panning shots, it kinda has a holographic print look to it.

He only got let by... 3 times or something. Of course, we were only on the track at the same time for maybe two sessions?
http://photos.juilenephotography.com...5301&k=FQKJgfX is a neat shot, looks like they're driving in a diamond formation.
The open sides on the atom are great. With the full versions you can see the ripples in the seams of his jeans.
edit: whoops, lets point to the picture I mean not just the gallery.

My favorite of dodno's is 3 Porsche Black - juilenephotography's Photos
And my fvorite of mine is 31 Mazda RX-8 Silver - juilenephotography's Photos
Your sunset pictures are amazing too.http://photos.juilenephotography.com...3655&k=F8HXjjB Are they photoshopped or is that real color? Thanks for the shots
Well I finally got around to posting a video of PIR. Nothing too spectacular, but I had fun on the track. There is probably 5-10 MPH more to gain in the last series of turns. I just need to get the confidence to push it. Can't wait to go back.
