Anyone here going? A few of the guys I work with are planning to go and it would be great to see some other RX8's out there!

I'll have my car back by then (hopefully with the Mazda logo back on the front also; it's apparently on backorder so I get my car back without one) so maybe. What day of the week is that? I don't have a calendar in front of me.

I'm doing the track day on Friday (in the group with racers; I'll be driving my Spec Miata), preparting for the race that weekend. I've only driven PIR once, so a little more seat time there before the race would be a good thing.

CodingParadox may also be there, but in his souped-up Toyota rather than in his RX-8.

It's an HPDE day with trainers riding along with you. I cannot make this either - bummer for me.

$165 for class (Thursday night) and $130 HPDE Friday. It is being put on by the Cascade Sports Car Club. Call 360.887.3241 or email dbravo3@msn.com for more info. Below is their web site.

So how was the track day? Was it well organized? A fair amount of track time? Reports!

I thought it was great! The weather was not cooperative (it rained about ten times, the last time a torrential downpour just as group 1--the newbies--was about to go out).

The whole day ran like clockwork despite the weather; no significant issues of which I was aware on or off the track. I learned the track some more, and my student ended up driving faster in the rain in the last session than he had in the dry in the first three sessions, and driving well.
