Oh one more thing, the reason cops ticket when you have it thrown in the window is because it's a safety hazard in the event of a crash. Nothing like a flying piece of sharp metal to ruin your day in a wreck. Hence why it has to be secured. I was actually going to make a bracket for my plate initially, but the suction cup was a compromise.

No front plate and I was only pulled over once for it in a small town North of Spokane... no ticket let off with just a warning. They got nothin' better to do up there.

the only place i have been pulled over for no front plate is st helens, or. (pulled over twice). look it up on a map and you'll know why. it is a very very small town and there are too many cops. i live in the greater seattle area now...and dont have problems with it here. the cops have real crimes to deal with ina normal city. i wasn't given a front plate when i bought my car. and i told the cop that when he pulled me over but he said bs.

everyone should carry a tape recorder with them, it can help you get your tickets thrown out if they cop is out of line...

I have my front plate on since I got pulled over in Mount Lake Terence last year. I didn't get a ticket but the cop warned me if he ever saw me without it again, he would give me ticket. I decided to put it on because I work in MLT...lol..and I was sure that I would run into him again and I have been ......almost everyday .. seeing him hanging around infront of my work speed trapping....that butt-hole!

But then again...it's just me. Even if you got a ticket for it, it wouldn't go on your record since it's not a traffic violation. It's like a parking ticket. So if you wouldn't mind paying the fine everynow and then...don't put it on..cuz its ugly..haha

I can proudly say I've never owned a car with a front license plate :D (eclipsegsx, mustangGT, rx-8) and no tickets for it either to boot haha
