Lightbulb Portland International Raceway

Anybody in the NW (especially Oregon drivers) taken the driving/performance school offered by PIR? If so, how was it? I'm thinking of taking it, if not for the safety aspect, but also to have fun safely in a control environment...it is so easy to speed with the 8

Here is the link:

Is there a safer way to drive fast besides this in Oregon? If so, let me know! Thanks!!!

I've done 2 Cascade Drivers Club track days at PIR and i would reccomend them. They are great bang for the buck...good instructors and well organized.

Yeah, I've done a Team Continental driver training and it was well run - good ground school, good on-track rules, etc. Track days are fun.

Another good way to get to know your '8 is autocross. Eugene has a very active club, and we have a well run SCCA club here in Portland.

Go to the Links page for a link to the Eugene club.

Well I know a bunch of different Mazda owners will be at PIR on March 5th for the Alfa Romero club track day.Come on out and have some fun.Watch out though if you have stock brake pads and brake REALLY hard. They will melt away.
