Puget Sound/Seattle 30,000 Service
My 30,000 service is coming up due in another month or two. I wonder what dealers/shops people have used for this and what your experience was like? Doug's Lynnwood Mazda (where I bought my car) is terrible and also want $460 for the service (per their site anyways)!!! I don't want to go back for the 30K service (bad service and bad price...).
How much have you paid? Where did you get it done at? Should I ONLY use a Mazda dealer for this checkup?
Thanks all,
Scott

I don't have the time nor equipment to do it myself
I honestly don't know if I need to do the plugs and coils, how do I know? Any other suggestions out there?

Mr. Örange
My plugs were to the nubs at 18000 miles (misfired and had to change them out), but that was with 6 track days. Mazda recomends changing the plugs at 30K I think, and through Mazda the plugs are $50 a piece.

OEM coils are only good for approx. 30k. You should at least replace your coils, wires, and plugs along with fluids. I would recommend installing an aftermarket coil and plug set such as the ones sold by BHR. They last longer and are more efficient than the OEM coils and plugs. Although Mazda made an excellent car mechanically, they did short shot on the coils. Install the aftermarket ones and your car will be much happier!
