On Friday yes, you'll be able to borrow a helmet, you won't even need to rent one Of the AutoX clubs, only the Porsche School seems to force you to pay to rent them.

Tomorrow's practice: http://nwr-scca.org/solo/practice.htm
So it's $50 for the day with SCCA membership, $70 for the day with a weekend membership, $40 for just afternoon or morning with a weekend membership.
The weekend membership would apply for the Sunday event and if you're under 25, all of Sunday will be $30.

So who else is going to the SCCA practice day tomorrow? Shin has expressed interest as has Leon. It's a haul to get there for the morning sessions, means leaving here around 5:30am-ish. $10 for a weekend membership, $30 for each run group ($25 if you're an SCCA member).

Yah...
Ok, so, Shin and I are meeting at Dick's on 45th at 5:45AM tomorrow before meeting Leon at the Safeway in Kent off of 167 at 6am. If you want to meet up and follow us down, either send me a text tonight, or meet us at one of those locations SHARP. Basically I expect to be at Dick's for about 30 seconds and that Safeway for long enough for Zack to run in and get coffee.

Well, that was totally sweet. They charged me 1st gear price... $30 for the whole day. We got 6 or 7 runs in the morning, then... 20? 30? In the afternoon. The course was sweet but hard. There were a lot of off camber corners that had a lot of gravel on them in the morning. In the afternoon, they did 2hr run groups instead of a set number of runs. I stopped counting at 12.
We have... almost no pictures, but it was a lot of fun and you guys who didn't come missed out

I was originally planning on going to Pinks on our way back, but we ran until 5pm, stopped for dinner with Leon and didn't get home to Kirkland until 9:30. We could've stopped at Pink's, but it would've been like 8:30 and they still would've wanted $20 each to get in, even though we wouldn't stay very long.

Zack is still 1.3 seconds faster than me in my own car but that's down from 2.5! We've determined that I definitely need a front sway bar (but maybe not a new rear one) and another .25º camber in the rear.
Yaaaah, let's not talk about that We got about a combined 30 runs during the Practice day and burned around 3/4 of a tank total, I threw 3 gallons in over the lunch break so I don't know exactly. Gas prices are all over the place there now, $3.26 in Packwood, $3.15 in Morton.

At least you didn't run out
Someday I'll be able to have weekends off.
