I'd rather spend more time driving and less time bracing. That's just me though. You dont need a full bucket but the stock seats dont have nearly enough bolstering. The head room was actually the best benefit for me.

I just wish there was a better solution to the whole Airbag thing. Mike, I think folding race seats are the best way to go for a DD. Next time you're in Redmond/Kirkland, stop by Speedware (they're on Willows Rd., a little hard to find them at first since they're around the side of a warehouse). They have a lot of different options you can try sitting in.
Then you can use your ninja powers to find them for cheap.

Good one though Chris... My opinion on the matter has changed though. I'm not giving up my stock seat until I feel like I can jump straight to a racing seat, bypassing a recliner as I was previously thinking.

Speedware is, meh, ok. They basically have Sparco and Recaro seats. They're tall people seats are pretty limited. My options were basically Sparco Evo 2 Plus or Recaro sports or gt's or something. I can't remember actually. I just remember they were reclineable, pinched my hips and expensive. The guy told me they would break in and be more comfortable but I didn't believe him. My Status seats fit like a glove so there was something strange about how the Recaros were built.

Bahaha! Sorry mike. I'm usually really good about checking things like that before pressing submit. If it's any consolation I posted that via iPhone from a taxiing (spelling?) airplane.
