Yah, I'm bummed. I didn't buy tickets for Saturday because I was going to go to the Porsche thing then waited too long to sign up. Ended up changing my oil, hiking and drinking instead.

I have couple of questions. So, I'm really interested in joining lapping day with Alfa, bmw, or porsche club. I believe I need a license to do this right?
Which Driving School I need to go to?The BMW offers Car Control Clinic, and High-performance Driving school, do I need to take these 2 class?it costs $500 total.
and there is one on September 13th
I also saw Driver Education from the Porsche club, only cost $205.
Any idea guys?
Last thing, I don't need a license to go to Autocross right?
thanks

As far as the lapping licenses go, I would check to see which one will let you drive in all of the other clubs. They might all recognize the others, they might not. Unless you only want to drive with that particular club. I took the Proformance high performance driving clinic out at Pacific Raceways which doesn't give you the license afetr that day. You then have to come back to a proformance lapping day and have an instructor ride with you to get your license. I'm not sure who recognizes that one, but able to drive with the different clubs allows you more options in driving days. I'd have to check, but I think the Proformance license will get you into other tracks, though I would still get an instructor to help show you the track and it's lines.
For autox only a regular drivers license is necessary.
Good luck.

It normally is around $25 to $35 to do a Sunday autox event. The next BSCC autox event is on Sunday August 9th. You can either pre register on their website or you can just show up at the event and register. The times will be posted at the website, where you can also pre reg.
http://www.bscc.net/
The SCCA events are the same. The next SCCA event is on Aug 16th.

A autox day has a morning and a afternoon event. They run different classes in the am and pm events, but time only and novice can run in both.
The BSCC member day on the 7th is new to me so Anijo or Dondo will have to fill you in, but I'm going to try and go, it sounds like a lot of fun!!!

There's never a reason not to go to a Driving school. It's going to be a long time before any of us can't learn anything from them. I really want to go to the handling oval and the skid pad again, maybe even with coilovers?
Rx-8 Putih, hopefully we can get our act together and do a Saturday morning meet this week. It's 9am at either the U-Village on 25th Ave NE in Seattle (near the University of Washington) or near the Southcenter Mall in Renton. We can tell you all about the different kinds of events that go on around here.
BSCC is $20 membership, $25 for each half of the day if you pre-register, $35 if you don't. SCCA has a special deal if you're under 25, $10 for a weekend membership (standard) and $15 for each half of the event. A full SCCA membership is $60 but you get it for $45 for your first year if you're under 25. You can use up to 3 Weekend memberships as credit towards the full one. There's kind of a lull in the next 2 weeks but August 7-9th is another one of those crazy weekends. I'll start another thread for it on Monday, give people more warning this time.
