tips!

i keep hearing you guys talk about tips like tire pressure and now exhaust cleaning.. what are they?! pass them on to those unfortunate souls who did not attend this time! please?

get a can of eagle one never dull for your exhaust tips and if you are running mfr recommended 32psi in your tires bump it up to 35psi and see how that feels.. did wonders for me.. also on the never dull, after you apply it, wipe your tips down with a good paper towel and they will shine like no other.. too bad you couldn't make it.. it was a fun day..

I actually run 35 in the FL, 34 in the FR and RL, and 33 in the RR, that is, if I don't have the ability to get the tires real hot. If I can make several high-speed runs before the twisties, I'll run about 25 in all four corners, and let the heat bring them up to pressure. I don't recommend it, though, as you have to get the tires pretty hot before the car is stable, and the run the car hard to keep them hot, at least on street tires.

Also note, I have my shocks set to stiff in back, so I'm trying to make up for that a little with the tires. I'm also not a light individual, and rarely have anyone in the passenger seat, so I keep the drivers side of the car a little stiffer. If you're not willing to be as **** about setup as I am, 35 all around for spirited driving will probably work fine (try it, and adjust to your liking). For cruising, I'd suggest running 32 so you don't wear out the middle of your tires.

You guys keep this up, and newbies are going to start EXPECTING a tech tip on every run.

Tech tip: Check your tire pressure cold and then right after you end a session to see how much pressure you gain during spirited driving. This will help you estimate where to set your pressure cold.

I like to run 0.5 PSI lower on my drive wheels (rear) than on my fronts.
