Ok, so I bought a 1 year old '04 GT 6-speed with 12k miles. California car, bought at auction, trucked up, now it's mine. Now I need to hook up with a GOOD servicing dealer. Since I live in the boonies nothing is close (really), so, who is the BEST warranty service shop in the area?
I have an opinion on who SUCKS, but i'll save that till later. Long story...

Everyone says good things about University Mazda, in Seattle. There is no other dealer everyone says good things about, although there are other dealers some people say good things about.

i live out near you, but i drive up to lee johnson in kirkland. i pre-ordered my 8 from them waaay back in '03. the head guy there, scott trail, is a good guy and knows what he's doing, but there's a bunch of monkeys working for him that can really affect your experience with them. all in all, i keep going back. they took care of a bunch of minor issues when i brought my car in for recalls that some could've passed up and they were very helpful.

Welcome to the forum and the cult of the 8. I'm in Maple Valley and I take my 8 to University Mazda. I've only taken it in twice so far as I'm happy to do my own oil changes, tire rotation, etc. I work just south of Seattle so I go from work.
University Mazda is reputed to have the best rotary techs of any dealer in the area.

So far I have had a good experience with Fugate Mazda in Enumclaw (just down the road from you) with the purchase and servicing of our Shinka this year. In fact when we were in for our recall and oil change I told my wife to ask them to look into a rattle from the amplifier in the trunk and they went ahead and checked it out and proceeded to go about and do a thorough fix for this annoying problem. Couldn't be any happier at this point in time.
