BHR ignition installed:

IT FEELS AWESOME! RX8 is pulling me back in the seat a little more from 3200-6800 rpm. Idle is better too. As for gas mileage I am about to take a 1800 road trip, so Ill report back on gas mileage. Right now is 250-320 a tank hopefully Ill do better!

Btw, big Thanks to BHR whom had the product here in THREE days for my xmas drive. Great great guys I totally recommend them!

oh okay. I cant decide between your pettit sc, the DNA sc or even the esmeril turbo kit. Of course I want my RX8 to be a good dd and a fun weekend scca car. Track takes importance.... I wish someone on the forum would make a more comprehensive study of the different kits, especially focusing on the power band and TQ flow. Because really I think 320-380 is plenty of whp. Its the TQ i am more concerned about ya kno?

Having a major issue, my car is blowing the 15a engine fuse under load, +7500 rpm in cornering. Maybe coolint on powersteering, maybe badground maybe idk....

So idk what to do. Trading bbs mr for evox wheels and getting cash on top. Could use the money. Replacing battery with LTW Braile 6 pound. *sigh*

I believe I have detainmented where the issue was. My radiator fluid was dumping ontop of the power steering. I have moved the line and so far....have had no issues.

As you may of read, I reasonly discovered pettit has discontinued their SC for temp time unknown as they rework to fit another charger....

In the mean time I will focus on my cars other areas I wouldn't have before....mostly visual. I do still need side skirts (want feed) and rear diffuser (want REA) But front bumper I never cared to address, however I think I will get the auto exe s2 styled bumper for my s1.

Opinions? I think it looks good. Well, update later..

TX

Just a update, Moving to Dallas! Woot!

Attending UTI and UT, as some of you know (the few on my FB) I own my own business now, Tuner Alliance. I will be selling loads and loads of parts. Anyway, as far as the rx8 is concerned:

FINALLY got around to fixing the radio...only took 3 years!
Installing today, just a simple 2din hd dvd 7in radio with the steering wheel controls module and the bezel.

Still looking to supercharge my baby! While at UTI I will perform a rebuild on my own before she needs it, and port the motor to Pettit racing specs. Sadly since I cant find a S/C I will just work on other little stuff. CF wrap some interior pieces, get MS side skirts and stuff that is cosmetic.

Picked up a e36 M3 to be my new track warrior so the RX8 is going to retire to DD/weekend warrior status. Speaking of which, I carry status seats so I will be reppin the NW by rockin some in the RX8 down the road. Anyway my NW bros/ladies. Miss you guys, i hope the Mazda group in TX is better than the one in LA....which didn't actually excise.

UPDATE:
I now volunteer at Steve Kan's! AKA Kan Tuning aka former Gotham racing! Still working on Tuner Alliance, almost done with UTI! Going BMW School in Cali in June, going to japan next week and hope to stop by at Mazda HQ and visit!!!

Store.tuneralliance.com is my site, still being worked on FYI, let me know what y'all think!

As for the RX8, well friends if you've read the post you know I got her second hand all those years ago! She now is at 126XXX miles, ORIGINAL MOTOR! Did a compression check at Rotary performance! 7.2/7.4/7.3 front and rear 7.1/7.0/7.4!!! Not bad, but I fear a new motor in the next 25000 miles!

Still no forced induction. I have been playing tooo much with my BMW M5 and so on. On Christmas I was back home in Washington and bought me a 4x4 Mitsubishi Montero instead of saving for new RX8 parts. But alas this year I am doing to do more changes. Looking to get rid of my Racing beat midpipe and corksport exhaust in favor of something lighter, do a new clutch and flywheel. Current weight of my car is 2904 without me in it. I plan to have her down to 2800 flat by the end of the year. My front seal is leaking, I am beginning to have issues others have not due to my high mileage! I believe my SSV is crapped up right now as well. She needs a solid weekend of cleaning and going over. I am debating just buying a new motor and rebuilding this old one after I pull it. I want to see how the water jackets are and so on.

Steve is going to teach me how to tune and so on, so I am really excited about that! I miss WA and driving those roads. I went exploring while I was home. Man, if only I had my 8! Anyway, just an update for all my old bros who are still on the forum! Best wishes!
