I was just on The Winding Road and saw that this drive has been moved to April 6th due to the snow we're having. I won't be able to make it on the 6th - it's my daughter's birthday and a house-warming party for her and her boyfriend.

Didn't you get the note about it from Kristopher sent from The Winding Road?
I forgot to register until yesterday, and right after I did and I got the email confirmation, he sent a note out. Although I didn't see that note until way later... I had been cruizing around on TWR and went to get the meeting location info and the notice was there on the Shamrock Shuffle page.

If you didn't get the e-mail, please let me know, that's definitely something I'd want to look into.
Unfortunately, between the extra elevation and extra latitude on this drive, I had to make the safe decision and postpone it. The last thing I want is someone to get in accident because I decided to be macho about the weather.
I'll make sure to get a policy note up at the-winding-road regarding weather. For the most part it doesn't come in to play, but if there's too much frozen crap on the ground, I'll delay a drive for a week in hopes of Mother Nature cooperating more.

Yeah, that's why I asked if people got it - I thought you'd wanna know if they didn't.
I think you made a good call. Sounds like that area got way more snow than we did. It worked out good for me, so thanks Kris!

It looks like it will be rainy but if we never went out in the rain around here we'd never go anywhere.

Dood! I can't believe you didn't go!!! Wha'hoppen'd? I wanted to go but yesterday was my daughter's birthday and she and her boyfriend just bought a house, so today was a big birthday/house warming bash. Man, it was a good day for a drive, at least where I was.

There were 3 cars. It was a great road. We had almost zero traffic and the road was a blast. It was a pretty straightforward route so we didn't get anyone lost and just was able to blast through it.
My buddy was in town this weekend and came out with us. He was a little nervous so it was a little more leisurely than I usually take it but still fun.
And as per tradition we had a little dirt track action as well. The views were great. Too bad it was somewhat cloudy.
All in all a great drive. Just not many people.

Yay, I love it with a small group and zero traffic! I'm so bummed there was something else that trumped it - damn choices....
