So how about a little Auto-X this weekend
It is not too late to register for the Auto-Cross activities in Pasco Washington. Check out the following site for more detail. I am going to give it a try for the first time this weekend.
Look forward to see some other RX8s in the line up.

I think I have caught the bug. Only went one day and did six runs and number of rides in other cars. Went back the next day so my wife could get a chance to take a ride. The AutoX was in the Tri Cities. Really got the opportunity to get the feel of the car and what it is capable of doing with me at the wheel and one of the clubs better drivers. Let us say at the end of the day, he was 7 seconds better with the RX8. which he had never driven prior to then. On the second day, another RX8 driver took my wife for a ride and she came back with a big grin on her face and ready to take a driving school class. However, on the next run the same RX8 pilot lost his on course and hit some curbs that created some heavy damage to his Rims as well as his front struts etc. and side air bag. Kind of took the smile of her face. But just a little. I believe the hook has been set on me and her as well.
I must reinforce your recommendation to try AutoX with our cars. Much better idea than rat racing in the mountains like some of us often do.

Edit: I guess they are posted. I PAXed 17th out of 195 drivers and was 27th in raw time. And you beat me by .7 - good time!

The turnout was incredible! The weather had to have something to do with it also.
I got a 28.6, which is somewhat dissappointing. It was the first time I ran the car since it has been on the road after this:

Forgot to mention that I was 5th out of 15 in the novice classs.
Mike, Just had a change of plans and will not make it to the Portland meet as of today.
That Rx7 is really nice. Bet it would have been in Portland the 19th
