Spokane/Cda drive?

Spokane/Cda drive?
I was wondering if anyone has a drive set up or would like to do so? Maybe we could drive around Cda lake? or anyother ideas. I think that it should be open to all kinds of cars. I just believe that it would be more fun with a large group.

I'd definitely be in. That's a beautiful drive around the lake, and lots of fun to. If I remember right, it's about 50 miles. Any chance of tossing in some other local twisties too? When I set stuff up, I generally target the 80-120 mile range.

Honestly, I've not found anything I really like, yet. Yahoo! maps is good, but a little slow, and I guess Google maps lets you add multiple way points too. I've used Streets and Trips as well. It's much faster than the online mapping systems, but still a bit of a pain. I used to use National Geographic's Topo! product, but since I've switched away from Windows, that's not an option for me. Realistically, I spend a lot of time with paper maps and my expensive book collection, and once I've identified the route, then I sit down and start plugging intersections into a program. Paper is still faster, for the most part. Of course, my newest computer is about 6 years old, so maybe one of those quad core hyper threaded 64 bit jobs with 4GB of memory would make the difference, but even then, without a really big screen and really high resolution, you can look at a lot more paper at one time than you can computer images. If you want, I can go through my maps and such and give some ideas. I'm not real familiar with the area, so my guess regarding topology and terrain may not be the best.

Probably Sunday. At well over the speed limit it was a 3.5 hour drive home from CdA 2 weeks ago. Saturday could work too, but I prefer being fresh for the fun driving. Either way, I'm probably camping Saturday night.

OK so we will meet up by the Exon Jiffy Stop @ 2105 4th St cda, id.
It is right off i-90 at 4th street exit. Gas is much cheaper there than in Spokane so I recommend filling up there =)
