Keep us posted when the dates are set. I'll definitely be up for a meet up for a few drinks and talking about rotaries. I'm out of town the last week of September but other than that I'll be around.

Yeah I am going to get with Kane on the phone this week sometime, and buy the airline tickets. But like he said it is looking like the 10-11 of September. I am looking to tune this damn car once and for all. So I will post the details of when he arrives. But I would like for all of us to meet up and go out for drinks, etc.

J.Cab - I see you're in Oak Harbor... is that where you'll be doing the tuning?
Do you have a place in mind for us to get together? Sounds like we'll have dannobre coming down from Canada, bigireland coming from Tacoma, and pdxhak would be coming up from Oregon. The rest of us are in the greater Seattle area.

Well I believe that we are doing the street tuning probably up here or in the Seattle area. But the dyno tune will be done in Bellingham.

Well hopefully we can do the street tuning and anything that might pop up in the Seattle area. Then the next morning drive to B-Ham for the actual dyno tuning. So we will have time to party in Seattle on the 10th.

Could you do your street tuning on the dyno? I know when Jeff was in town on Kito's Mustang dyno he was able to set constant loads to perform street tuning which made it much easier to dial in and hit the data points you want. It also saved us a boat load of time running around trying to find a clear piece of road.

Just a thought to save you some time and hassle if you hadn't considered it.

It always comes down to a time vs money thing....

But we could do it either way.

Well Kane can probably tell me more or less if it will work tuning on the street before hand then going on the dyno.

It will work either way - street tuning is more about finding all the bugs and ensuring your set-up is good.... plus tuning the low load and cruise areas.

In my little world I would see some street tuning getting a starting map going so you dont pop the motor with a wild low A/F rating while bringing it through gears to establish load.

Oh goodness, you know all about my cruise loads. So I drove back from Seattle this morning at around 60-70 mph I was begged 11.2. So I just decided I minus well go all out and just boosted all 75 miles back home!
