Toss the wankel
So, you know how motorcylcist "shoot the duece" or however they say it? Well, instead of simply waving at other rotary drivers, I figure we ought to "Toss the wankel." Simply hold up your index, middle, and ring finger in the shape of a W to signify your wankel comradarie. So if you see some nut job in a Red 8 waving with three fingers, you'll know what's up.

The problem with this is that if the other driver isn't on this board (or hasn't read this thread), they're not gonna have a CLUE what the hell you're doing. I think I'll just continue to give a thumbs-up.
By the way, I'm a motorcyclist, and I have no idea what "shoot the duece" is, can you elaborate?

You must not ride your bike much! Perhaps if you are a cruiser that crowd doesnt do it this way. In the sport bike world, you give a horizontal to downward static "wave" with the first two fingers together. It comes naturally because you're aldready hunched over w/ your hands low, and you've been using those fingers jointly for the clutch anyways. Its so universal and unique that sometimes I give it from my 8 and bikers will recognize that I ride too (like on Sunday's rally).
Some people refer to this manuever as "shooting the duece," although its official name is "the 2 Finger Yo Poke" (j/k)
