Post Turbo 8s in the NW / what tuner shop do you use?

Just wanted to compile a list of tuner shops and how owners have a turbo 8 set-up? Currently, I will only go to one tuner shop as result of quality work and their great customer service and experience.

AXIOM Motorsports:
Owner: first name KYLE
Brief Description: They have above 5-6 experienced tuners to include one from JAPAN and they can pretty much do anything you want (i.e. dyno, tune, and install turbo kits...so forth)

Rob and Blake(created rotaryengineillustrated.com) are two of the most knowledgable rotary folks on the West Coast.

they have ported at least one renesis. I wouldnt hesitate to use them for installing TCs and SCs

Racing Beat's website shows 4 dealers of their products and whether or not they are rotary folks. I don't have any experience with them but it might be a place to start and see if anyone has experience with these folks. Pineapple is also on their list.

I've heard bad things about Jeff's Automotive - from guys in the spec-miata world. It's hearsay, but that's what I've heard.

Atkins doesn't do any tuning - they are builders. They don't have a dyno or anything.

DMP, funny you should mention this quote above but I heard the same thing and I heard ATKINs rotary does not believe that the renesis can turbocharged successfully. I am not going to say A name because it may affect a business.

Fellow 8s, I will post pics when my car comes out of Axiom.....they are mounting the intercooler right now. BTW, if you want the best deal in town, a greddy turbo kit/ harness and NEW EMUltimate with install. Then Talk to me - I will give you a break down of what I have and you check out the work ....and go from there. Axiom motorsports is also used by known racer or groups (i.e. Cascade motorsports....i saw them using their DYNAPACK)

Gents and Ladies, a new change to this. I am now getting my 8 tuned at Pitstop Motorsports. Reasons and results will be posted later.

Defintley let us know, so what made you change to Pitstop for the tunning? Id like to know the results since I plan on using them when I go forced induction down the road.

Changed to Pitstop fo tuning purposes. Why?

1) Bill, worked on an RX8 that was not running due to a blown motor. They got it rebuilt and tuned it back to health. That was when it was the blue emanage.
2) Bill has the EMU support tools to tune your RX8, so shops claim to have the right tools but they really don't based on my first hand experience.
3) Tuning is essential, just because you install a turbo kit that does not mean it is going to run great out of the box.
4) Customer service is key. Go to Pitstop and check out my yellow 8. It runs great, but there are some dead spots on my AFR. Runs really rich which causes it to want to stall.

Let me know when you want to do this because I can hook you up with him as far as good prices.

Hey fabro, let me know what all you want because I am in the process of fixing all greddy's kit problems. But I do recommend getting SFR turbo kit or mazsport version, but needless to say either way you need to bring your 8 down to Pitspot and let Bill (rotary tuner) look at it. Let me know when cause I want to be there. Stuff like this gets me out of bed or internet and some me time away from the wifey. LOL....j/k

Hehe, I can understand that part about your wife. But for sure I"ll PM you when the time is ready, it's not going to be for awhile. Last time I was there they did a good job fixing my bros wastegate on his turbo civic.
