Red face Want to Borrow...

I've just launched the Road Gear section of The-Winding-Road's Road Guide. Enough "Road" for ya'. While I have access to a few items, I'm looking for help building this section out so I can I ask Manufacturers to send demo equipment for me review. If you have any driving or driver centric gear you are willing to lend for a weekend, I'll happily trade you a credit for one of the-winding-road's drives.

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate all the support I get from the folks here at rx8club.

Sorry, guess that is a bit cryptic, it didn't seem so when I wrote it.

Portable Navs, Scanners, Map Lights, 2-Way radios (especially if anyone is using the XRS stuff), Radar Detectors, etc.

Basically any non-clothing device that makes driving easier/more fun/better/...

Like I said, I'll gladly exchange drive credits. If that doesn't do it for ya, but you're still interested in helping me get this portion of the-winding-road rolling, let me know what you think is fair.

You can use my Nav. on the next group drive. There are two benefits.
1) I get a free drive.
2) You don't get lost.

:p more than enough crude smilies, but no simple "I'm sticking my tongue out at you" smiley.

I appreciate it. Between pre-running the routes, and hopefully picking up a nav unit of my own in April, that issue should be a thing of the past.

If anyone knows someplace local where I can rent this kind of gear affordably, I'd look at that too.

This might be an interesting thing to review:

I have Verizon Wireless' cell phone-based navigation/gps system service on my LG Chocolate...the service itself is marketed as VZ Navigator. It's a $10/month add-on service. I've used it several times with pretty good results. Perhaps it would be a good item for you to review during one of the monthly drives.

Jacked as in not functioning properly, or jacked as in someone is in possesion of it without permerission? Either way, that sucks.

I'll be down, but not participating this saturday. I'll participate on the 29th.
