FYI---Mazdaspeed update
#77
As for the ETA, it honestly could be released anyday but no true set date.
As for design, yes it is similar to design as the AEM kit but with minor changes and a different patent #. That is why it has to go through all the tests again.

I dont expect to much either, but I do know for a fact that the reason for the delay on this one is not of Mazda's doing. I am just hoping that everything went the way it was supposed to.

I swear I called Mazda yessterday to find out anything. He was supposed to call me back with an update.
Well that didn't quite happen the way I planned so I will try again today.

Confirmation?
Confirmation?
All I can say is that until I hear it from my source I am still going on the info that he last told me.
That info is......
CAI's are still in C.A.R.B. as soon as they pass they will be available for almost immediate turn out. That info is under 2 days old, if things where going to change as dramatically as has been reported then my source would be the first to know and would have told me. He has no need to keep it a secret.
So hopefully I will have something to report on this tomorrow.

The info on ETA is the same as I have previously posted, with no changes expected.
I do thank everyboy for thier patience and understanding in this process. It's just Mazda making sure that the product is perfect and meets all the laws of the land.

Hi:
What's a CAI? Obviously, I'm a little "unwashed" re auto stuff; I'm just buying my first set of non-OEM tires for my '04 RX-8 6-spd. sport.
I have heard the Mazdaspeed exhaust ("catback?") and thought it was kind of lame. Slightly better (only) than the way Acuras and Civics sound with their nasal exhausts. I'm giving away my age here, but...for anyone who has ever luxuriated in the deep, rumbling growl of a 60's era Austin-Healy inline-six exhaust note, well, that's what I keep hoping for. Any chance my hope will ever be realized? Does someone make a deep, throaty exhaust for the RX-8?
Nice to be aboard. What's the hot tire in the "yes, I have to ask (the price)" category?
Jeffrey

CAI stands for Cold air intake.
As for exhausts, I can only atest to the MS exhaust. I have heard nothing but praise for it from the customers who have gotten it.
As for tires there are many options available. Here at the dealership I sell TOYO Proxes4's as the replacement tire (@160.00ea). I use those because they are affordable, should last @30K + and have never had an issue with TOYO tires.
