The design on this CAI is as so,

The filter will reside right in front of the AC condensor just RT of the centerline of the vehicle. The tube will run from there over to just past the Left center line of the vehicle and turn upwards. It will then pass through the radiator support where the OE air box resides and go directly to the T-Body. Tha MAF will mount into the pipe near its stock location.

Im confused by your answer, what I was wondering was will the CAI filter [im assuming it is a cone filter] be visible through the MS front bumper. Such as the AEM CAI is on some cars.

It is great to have an ACTUAL CAI as opposed to the plethora of short ram kits out there.

Sorry misunderstood question.

Yes if you look for it you will be able to see it but remember the grille opening is at squirrel height.

Just curious, I've been waiting till hell freezes over for this CAI. I've held off the AEM for months and just wondered what differences(if any)between the 2. Is it in any way refined from the AEM unit? I'm assuming that AEM designed this intake for MS but will it have the new filter(dry) or the older (oiled) one? And, will it have an etched in ms logo?

The Mazdaspeed version
1- Is built to a higher quality standard for fit and finish
2- Has the MS on the section of pipe in the engine bay
3- As for the filter I it is a dry filter.
4- Most importantly, with the Mazdaspeed CAI a dealer can't give you any crap because you have it on your car.

Also, Hell will be having a small section of it freeze over very shortly.

Is the heat shield still going to be able to sit over the engine? Because I totally love the way that thing looks.

If you are referring to the engine cover that says RENESIS then the answer is yes.

Wow, that looks exactly like the AEM. Same amount of couplers, same exact couplers, and if I'm not mistake the first middle 2 "flat" couplers have screens in them just like the AEM.

Did Mazdaspeed partner with AEM in this or just copy them straight out?

I believe all ms parts are made by specialized companies. I'm glad they went with aem since it has the most functional design...imo
