$500 Off MSRP? Is this a Good Deal?
Hello, was visiting a dlr in so cal where a friend works, they offered $500 off of a RX-8 with sport package only. Essentially the Xenon and some form of DSC traction control. Sticker is $28300 so $27800 plus tax, lic etc. Is this the best I can do right now? What's amazing is that the Z when it came out had some ungodly $7000-5000 mark up and folks in Nor. Cal. still have to deal with the mark up on the RX-8. Does this mean that in a couple months we may be able to get $1000 off of the vehicle? The demand on the RX-8 does not seem to be as high. Are folks just not aware of this vehicle as they are some other brands? Thanks for your input.

take the deal. Make sure there is no dealer fee. If so, it is a great deal. If you want to wait about 2-4 months, you might get another $500 off best case scenario.

If you want to wait a few months than you might be able to get it cheaper, but until then this isn't a bad deal as long as the dealer doesn't tack on a bunch of useless crap to the deal.

good deal
at least from what I have seen so far...
can you believe some dealerships are marking up the price by 10K USD...I think you found yourself a good deal for a relatively new car.

The deal sounds good to me, but as someone mentioned, make sure you check the actual price, and they haven't added a 'dealer fee' or some BS like that.

My dealer added $1000 to MSRP now that they are arriving. Your call.
edit: BTW, I got mine @ MSRP while it was still pre-ordering time.

Got mine -$1000 msrp for the pre order that hasn't come in but got the first car they got since it was the same color and options.
Just need to stop looking at the red and black leather seats. Thats the only option it didnt' have that my pre-order had. Mine just has the black now.
