'05 72k miles
Hey all, I've been lurking the forums looking for info and I must say Rx8Club has it all. I am going to post a link and want all you owners to tell me what you think. Its a 2005 with 72k miles posted at 12,781(I think this is incredibly high). The agent said that it has had all engine/flash updates and that it would be no problem to send it to a 3rd party for compressions testing. It also looks like the Grand Touring version, anyone confirm? Their title says CPE which I have not seen before. Also there is a picture of the headlight and it appears to have either wear or water in it? Anyone else think thats what it is?

CPE is short hand for 'Coupe', as in 4 door coupe.
The headlight does look scuffed, but nothing that isn't easily fixable with some lens restorer.
It is certainly a GT trim.
Price is probably too high, but have to wait on the compression scores to determine how far off.

Spare tire was a dealer option on everything I think. He is talking about the kit that is included that has the goop in a can and a little air compressor. Not sure how that would really affect the value that much you can pick up a can of that stuff for pretty cheap I imagine and it doesn't have to be Mazda brand. I do really enjoy having a portable compressor though.

Well, I disagree.
That's where we are left as it being an option. So that we can disagree, but still each get what we want. You have the option of getting the spare tire if you deem it necessary, and I can leave it out for the space and weight benefits because I don't deem it necessary.
Quite a few sports cars don't have them standard, especially when the manufacturer expects people to take the cars to the track. Cost savings on their end too.

If I would have bought the car new I definitely would have got it, and yes I know I can go get it now for like ~400. On the track I can see not having it but as a daily driver it sucks when you get a flat and the hole is too big to even attempt to use the fix a flat kit. Not all flats are running over a nail.

Understood.
I've been on far too many trips where the entire trunk was completely packed full, plus most or all of the back seats. I'd have removed the spare anyway there.
If I have a flat the goop could fix, I wouldn't use it because it could also be plugged for free or really cheap. If I have a flat the goop can't fix, then the tire needs replacing anyway, and my free towing through the insurance company covers me sufficiently to not be worried about it.![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Even the 8,330 trip from RI to AZ to CA up the coast to OR back home to RI was done without a spare, and not once was I bothered by not having it.
