08 tiburon or 04 rx8?

I am currently driving a 2008 tiburon gtv6 auto that i bought new, it currently has 10k miles.

My sister drives a 2004 rx8 auto with 35k miles. I have the option of trading cars with her permanently. So what should I do? This car needs to be reliable for a few years until i graduate from medical school and can afford to fix problems.

Thanks.

i would stick with the Tiburon for now. rx8 is not cheap if you start having problems.

depends on your goals, what do you want out of your vehicle?

are you wanting to track/autox?

or just have a daily driven sports car?

then keep the tiburon trust me... while the 8 is a driving machine and is one of the funnest cars to drive they can still be unreliable if not take ncare of properly (especially as a DD). Your better off keeping the hyundai for now and then if you really want an 8 get one later one

Id honestly probably stay with your current car. It will be cheaper to drive/maintain. Better gas mileage and doesnt look to bad either

I had that same dilemma.

I always loved the Tiburon... and almost bought it a couple years ago. Its comfortable and it feels right when u sit in it. I say stick with the Tiburon for now, throw a super charger on it, and call it a day.

Stick with the Tiburon, with you being in med school and how much more attention you need to give the 8 I don't know when you would find the time. The Hyundai will be better suited to your needs for the time being, especially while in school your car will be warrantied until 2018.

Thanks for all the responses guys!

Like I said, this is my sisters current car and she has been driving it for about a year now. She has had 2 issues with flooding but nothing else wrong. Basically what I am saying is is that it really isnt like buying a used car and hoping it was well cared for.

I can see the logic in keeping the tiburon but I feel like I should go with the 8 bc it is rwd and has much more potential than my tib ever will.

Someone mentioned SCing the tib but that is out of the question, I will not dump money into a fwd car.

Is your Tib auto or manual? Switching from a manual tib to an auto 8 is going to be a dissappointment.

Well tiburon will prob destroy the 8 on MPG, although the 8 is worth the money, for daily driving just stick with your tiburon for now.

as much as id hate to say it stick with the hyundai ... reason being you probably dont have time for the 8 and then when stuff does start to go wrong coz it wasnt cared for youll become a 8 hater keep the tibby now and get the 8 later when you have more time to take care of it that way you will be able to experience it properly and fairly
