2008 GTs deals or not?
Locally there are no 2009s in the Kansas City area -- a couple in St. Louis about 200 miles away.
So I have been looking at local 2008's -- found two GTs a 40th anniversary for $24K with 19,000 miles or a non-40th with 14,000 miles for the same price.
Alternatively -- a 2006 shinka with less than 10,000 miles with a "white interior" for $19K.
Really like the updated looks of the 2009 but even what is left are GTs listed at about $32.5K and even with the 5K discount still around $28K, but are the 2008s worth the price or is the 2006 the best bang for the buck.
These are all on dealer lots -- thanks for your input.

You can get a new 2009 GT for about $25k (because of Mazda $5k customer cash). So $1000 less you get a car with $20k miles on it and is 2 years old? Does not sound like a good deal to me.
Tell the dealers you want the 2009. The dealer can always do a dealer trade for you and they'll bring the car to you. Alternatively, call that dealer you know the car is at.

theres a used 09 r3 on here for 21k in texas. Thats what I would do, if you cant go down to pick it up it would be worth spending the 500-700 dollars to get it shipped door to door

so then the question really becomes what is a good price for a 2008 GT with under 20K miles and no navigation -- is $17K the magic number or is it really more like $20K?
I think with the lack of 09 and 10's at local dealerships it is inflating prices of 08's right now in the Kansas City area.
