2008 RX-8 40th Anniv. Edt. Automatic

2008 RX-8 40th Anniv. Edt. Automatic MSRP of $32705, sales guy says he will sell it for $26,262. That's $6400 off MSRP, but I think I can still do better. Let me know if you guys see any better deals around Wash DC, Maryland, VA area. Thanks.

Are you paying it off or financing it? He's probably doing 3000$ rebate off, and he made his own 3000$ off the price on top of that. You have a choice of either 3000$ rebate or 1.9 APR for up to 60 months. You can do the math.

40th Anniversary (Auto)
Base Invoice Price: $29,658
Base List Price: $32,070
Destination Charge: $635
Dealer Holdback: $641
Rebate: $3500

$29658 - $3500 = $26158.
Basically, it's invoice - rebate. Destination charge can be evened out with the dealer hold back.

I think they can do $26000 to just get rid of the car.
$26000 + Tax + Tags + process fee = Appox $27600 out the door.

Destination and Holdback have NOTHING to do with eachother... This deal as you lay it out appears to be basically a NET 0 deal... OF which I can't imagine you will doing much better... Check edmunds.com, their numbers are pretty accurate, which is what I'm guessing this comes from. IF these numbers are correct, buy the car.
