Anyone done a end of lease buy out with MAC?

Mentalhealth is overrated
The car is in good shape regardless of the crap that has went on. There are quite a few rock chips but that is common for this area because of all the gravel they put on the roads in the winter. I will also be under my mileage. Any experience with tire wear? I still have the origianl tires on. THey haven;t worn out because I change them over to snow tires in the winter. I was just wondering what they expect the shape of the tires to be in for a 4 year old car.

They do require a minimum tread depth on the tires or they will charge you for a new set - or you can put new shoes on the car before you turn it in. It should be stated in the fine print of the contract, but it likely 4/32 or 3/32 of an inch. I think the wear bars at at 2/32 and at that point the tire is deemed to be unsafe on worn out.
In some lease contracts you are required to replace with similar tires, but I would doubt they would care if the tread is OK. Trouble is, in the OEM 18" size the cheapest would be just over $100 delivered + install from TireRack or DiscountTire.
Get out your magnifying glass and see what is in your fine print, that will prep you for what you can expect.
