MS kit doesn’t come with the RX8, you have to buy it separately.

Expect to pay at least $30,000 for both (if your lucky).

Key words there were at least. My fully loaded RX8 is going to run me $32000 + TTL.

Dad picking up the tab on this one?

Btw, if your dad wants to test out a turbo kit before buying it for you, I will be the guinea pig. I'm so nice sometime. :D

You can get a rx8 with the ms kit already on at some dealers but they mark it up like 5k
when you can get the kit for around 2800.00 yourself

o i thought it had a different body also nevermind then IMO the shinka is kind of a rip off because u could prob get a totally unique paint job for the same additional dallors the shinka is

i surely hope that your dad is looking to buy this car for himself. i dont know how old you are, but i hate it when i see parents buying $30K cars for their 16 and 17 year old kids. ive had to work for everything ive ever had (im 25 years old) and i see these kids now with no work ethic or sense of value because mommy and daddy picked up the tab for the first 25 years of their life. then they drive around with a sense of accomplishment because they have a nice car. its sickening and i feel sorry for them.

*steps off of soap box*

how are you managing to save up $15,000 by only working at a day camp and a pet store???? Unless he is buying it in a few years, I dont see how this is possible.

read his post after yours, he seems derving enough, hell, he's gonna be paying for the damn thing over time anyway! geez the kid's actually working 2 jobs for the car and waiting 2-3 years...he's doing a LOT more than me...im 15 years old i did zero work, and i have to pay zero amount for the car, and my dad bought the car(not for me though, but because he liked the car himself and needed a new weekend car...)

Good luck in your quest for a RX8, but my guess is in 2-3 yrs. something else might have caught your eye by then. Unless you plan on buying the car for the purposes of doing your own modifications, or tracking it etc.
If they do come out with a higher output RX-8 someday, then you will be really torn I'm sure!

Also the reason my dad wants to get it for me is because he knows he can make a dream come true because it really isn't that hard of a dream to fufill

Geez there are some selfish people on this board. Why can't you stand to see someone younger than you driving an RX-8? I can understand how the lame "He's young and stupid and gonna race it and crash" stereotype comes in, but there are some young guys in here who do appreciate the car for what it is. However, I do know some teens who do have a sports car, did not pay for it, and are not even satisfied with it. Now that is just stupid, and I can see how you could get mad considering you probably bought the car after working your *** off to get it. All this may not make sense, but I was bored and it seemed fitting. Flame on....
And what is up with mugatu threatening longbord and discman shooting himself in the foot?
