Best deals?

What are the best deals people are getting now that the whole HP MPG deal is common knowledge and every dealer I have seen has at least ten eights waiting impatiently on the lot?

Still every sticker has a pointless $5000 markup on it, but is anyone getting below MSRP?

I saw a commercial about 0% now from Mazda too. If I could get below MSRP and 0% I think I would go for it. I may be dreaming, but it's good to have dreams.

Yeah, that would probably do it. What is invoice on a 6MT?

Generally, what percent markup is between invoice and retail on options?

I want to help, but I kinda don't. I did my own homework and had the answers to these questions before I purchased the vehicle, and it wasn't very hard to obtain the information. Try mazdausa.com or even try utilizing the forum's search feature. I guess I just don't like your attitude.

Sorry. Didn't realize that I was portraying a bad attitude. Maybe laziness by not searching myself which I'll admit.

If I do a lot of research on something, I try to share my knowledge, no hold it against people.

I got a rx-8 AT MSRP is $25,700, plus app pkg and spoiler should boost it to $27,025, but I got it for $25,500 which is still $200 below MSRP of the base AT.

That's pretty damn good. I went to Edmunds.com and it had the retail, TMV, and invoice prices of every option. I just wanted to post real quick since I was at work and didn't have time to look it up. I am just going to take the print out with me tonight. Thanks for those who replied.

Good site arcane. Thanx. I have been to edmunds a thousand times and have never stumbled on that. I always thought mazda's holdback was 3% of invoice, not 2%of MSRP.

Fortunately, I have the Mazda S-Plan through work, so I won't have to bicker.

But it'll end being about $200 under invoice, or about $3K below sticker.

Which is nice... because that price is what brought it back from the dead! (wife thought the rear was claustrophobic... but now the reduced $$ is reducing her claustrophia. )

Hey, you can always *offer* $500 over invoice and see where it gets you. Try it at 2-3 dealers, saying "This is what it will take for you to earn my business." (use their horsesh!t line back on them) If they say no, walk, pronto. Then see if their tune changes. You'll find the price you'll like eventually with some hard negotiating.

They were basically willing to start anywhere, on price. but the yellow car was severly beat on. It has 322 miles of hell on it, and it was painfully obvious.

I said I wanted a Sport (no sunroof or Bose) with custom yellow leather, and they didn't have any so they asked if I would take a GT for the same price. Figure that is about $3000 under MSRP, so the dealers are willing to deal, who would have guesed.
