Buying 03-04 RX-8 Used????

Anyone have any used car buying experiances witht he 8? I am a soldier (future) looking in to them as a possible car after I am done with my training and a used model seems to the best cost effective/fun factor thing I can think of.

Also, regarding comments about my finances, I have it all planned out.

actually i bought mine used with about 14k miles. as long as you know why the previous owner decided to sell, then i think its okay. an older guy had my car and decided he wanted something with more interior room being he was very tall. i met him and he seemed to be a very nice guy who cared for the car... its always a gamble though buying a used car.

Well, old guys are what you have to look for, they usually take more care of the the car then a young gun (unlike a lot of young guns on this board who care for thier cars). I woulnd't buy some car that a CEO bought for his wife, those kind of stories tend to mean sub-par interior and no attention to the car mechanically.
