I am temtped to try to get deals online through e-mail or plain fax the hell out of everyone for a good deal but I figure you can get a better deal in person, like you said. So how did you get that Chicago deal? Just haggle back and forth through your e-mail? I
think I will give this a shot next time. It just seems like a lot of time to contact all these dealers instead of a trip to 3-4 different local dealers (which is also overbearing). I just despise the BS at the dealership until you show you've done your homework.

Yeah the Chicago deal is good, but I cant bear the thought of my 8 travelling open carriage through snow. Plus if you add the shipping, Im getting a similar deal here too.
I dont mind waiting till Jan if I have too. I'm hoping to get something in the lower 20's for a new and under 20 for a used.
I know Mazda is gonna release some new rebates for the 05's sometime now. Cool-Blue-Dad got 4K dealer cashback for an 04. Thats what I'm wainting on!
They are gonna hev to get desperate sometime.
BTW I just got a quote for GT "dealer driven" without Sat Nav for $27,997 from Fugate.
So as you can see online not all dealers give a good price. This car was probably a demo car and might have abt 500 miles on it and he wants $27,997 for it whoile the guy from Chicago for anew 05 similarly optioned was asking $23,540
Oh how I hate these scumbags.

Dang it.
Mazda have no new rebates for the RX-8 in December too. Just the $1000 MAC Cash.
This just sucks.

September is long way away. Did anyone hear of such uber deep discounts on the 2004s earlier than September?

Umm, I called Mazda up and the lady I spoke to had a new December incentive list which she said wont be up on the website till tomm.
No rebates other than the $1000 MAC for the RX-8.
The dealer cash might have gone up (I dont know though!) but Mazda for sure dont have any rebates planned for the RX-8 for the entire month of December.

I just checked with a Spokane Mazda dealer and with Edmunds.com and the incentives and marketing support have been extended from November to December unchanged: $1,000 MAC incentive and $1,500 dealer support.

Damn I guess I'll wait till January.

Don't wait too long. Keep an eye on inventory and make sure there are cars available that you still want. When I purchased my car a couple of weeks ago there were 110 6-speed vehicles left in my area, now they are down to 60. The pickings will be pretty slim in January.

Buying New 2005
I'm in the market for a new '05 6 speed in S. Florida.
I've been quoted a price with several options as dealer installed (appearance pkg, 6 CD changer, spoiler). Does anyone know if these would be better purchased as factory installed? Thanks.

Dont think the sales of the RX-8 should be a problem. They usually drop in the winter. I havent seen massive inventory shifts here in Seattle.

I have my '04 for sale if you are still interested. It is not new, but is in superb condition. 15,800 miles, silver, black/red leather interior, GT Pkg, Appearance Pkg, spoiler, Nav (recently updated), rotary accent Pkg, spare tire kit, all weather mats, fog lights, etc. It is, essentially, loaded. I have also added the DLS Custom side strakes and grill protector.
Fayetteville, NC. $24,000. KBB is 25,832.

Anybody know where I can get an aftermarket spare tire kit?
BTW, has anyone bought a spoiler from this company? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...spagenameZWDVW
Is $188 (after shipping) a good deal for that?
Thanks for any help!
Cathy
