not hating on blue or anything, but blue isn't my first choice nor can i see myself ina blue car D= but....
i also found a 2004 black GT 6 speed MT which looks great. Although the price is so low it seems too good to be true. This are the features he had listed.
Features: A/C: Front, Cruise Control, Power Locks, Power Steering, Remote Keyless Entry, Bucket Seats, Leather Interior, Power Seats, Airbag: Driver, Airbag: Passenger, Airbag: Side,Alarm, Anti-Lock Brakes, Fog Lights, CD Changer, CD Player, Premium Sound, Power Windows, Rear Window Defroster, Tinted Glass, Sunroof/Moonroof
EXTERIOR FEATURES*Grand Touring Package *Rotary Accent Package
*20" Custom D'vinci Chrome wheels with removal black inserts
*tinted windows *sun roof *xenon headlights *fog lights *spoiler
*front, side and rear body skirts *chrome strakes *Original 18" wheels and tires *Spare tire package INTERIOR FEATURES*2 tone leather interior *heated seats *electric drivers seat *Bose premium sound system with 6 disc cd changer *auto dimming mirrors *programmable garage door openers *RX-8 car mats *RX-8
winter car mats *steering wheel audio controls *keyless entry *alarm system *cruise control *A/C
the first major change would be taking off those 20" wheels lol. I emailed him asking why he had such a low price and what how many miles it has and this is what he said..
It is in very good condition, and it runs great. My wife was recently promoted so we had to move in Florida.Besides, there are lot of things which have priority now, so, the car has to go. As you probably noticed, the price is rather low $ 2,800 for the RX8 if you will buy it today or tomorrow .Due to the fact I am very busy with my work and I don't stay too much at home, the car is already to the shipping company and will be delivered from there very fast, shipping costs are included in the price. The transaction will be made under eBay's buyer protection plan. This way you can receive assistance for the purchase, title transfer, etc. So, please reply back with your full name and shipping address if you are really interested in purchasing the car so we can start the arrangements!
Thanks
Stefan
He also gave me the VIN# and i just got off the phone with mazda and the rep. said everything seemed to be okay. After i gave him the VIN# he replied saying "2004 rx-8 GT, with red/black leather seats?" so i said yes. and he said there was service done to it. like oil changes, tire rotation, etc. Seems too good to be true, but then again you never know. Waiting for his response, cause i asked what shipping company it was at. And where he and the car are currently located, and when i'd be able to go see the car myself.
Not getting my hopes up yet. So if it's BS i'll be like okay thought so, but if not.. then i come out a happy owner haha

so far this is definitely a scammer, but it's quite entertaining. Here's the link to the pictures.

me:
Hello,
Could you email some more pictures? And possibly even a walkaround video of your car? Where are you located?
I'd like to go see the car before purchase and would pay with a certified cashiers check. What shipping company
is it at? Where is it located. And where is the car? Also how often did you change your oil? And what kind of oil
was used? In addition, what kind of gas did you use for it? Since it's an '04 were all recalls done by Mazda?
If you could give me an estimated cost to zipcode 60070 that would be great, but again where is the car located?
I could drive there and see it myself. If you're no longer in Illinois, and in Florida i could message an RX-8 owner
in the Florida area to go see the car for me. Thanks in advance.

his response:
The shipping is paid.As we speak the car is already at the shipping company in Florida and was put into a container and now is ready to be shipped. I am located out of the city due to occupational obligations so unfortunately this means we can do the deal only through eBay .
Since I presume you are not familiar with eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection Program, I have briefly described the eBay transaction steps below:
1. Buyer, seller reach an agreement (price and delivery conditions)
2. Buyer sends money to eBay.
3. eBay confirms to seller that the amount has been received.
4. Seller performs the required services (shipping, insurance).
5. Buyer accepts delivery and informs eBay about the acceptance.
6. eBay releases the money to seller.
As you can see, you will receive the car BEFORE any money is released to me. You will get the chance to inspect it, test drive it and everything you like while your money is still safely held in eBay's account. ONLY after you confirm to eBay that you agree with the vehicle, they will release the money to me.
If, for some reason, you disagree with the car (I assure you that is NOT going to happen since my car is like in the photos and run great ) it will be shipped back to me on my expense and eBay will send you your money back.
If you wish to proceed further, I will need your complete name, address and phone number so I can start the transaction with eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection Program.
Thanks,
Stefan
My response:
May i get the name of the shipping company? When would you be back in the city? And i am familiar with EBAY's VPP program. And from my knowledge that only applies if your rx8 was posted on eBay. But that isnt the case here. Do you have anymore pictures, as the mileage in the picture shows 37,260 miles. When you said it was 39,500. When you get back into the city, I could possibly have a local rx8 owner look at the car. Thanks in advance.
...now the wait begins for his response. dun dun dun

Hollister 4:
I might be interested have you got a photo? Does it have the original Japanese "sticky" tires? I live on the top of Palomar Mountain(What a road! ask the Honda S 2000(a whole lot of them in a caravan) Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes, porsche all parked next to each other and yes with an RX-8 or two ask the San Diego RX-7 Club and ask the "crotch rocket" motorcyclists.) I currently have a 96 Acura 3.2TL (nice car but not an RX-8) and although I do not drive often, one daily run up or down or up and down this mountain is worth days of driving ANYWHERE else. You are in Michigan? I have never driven that far before. The most i have driven is to Las Vegas and San Francisco so it might be a hoot to drive back from your area.
