Dealer Inventory Search MazdaUSA
How accurate is the dealer inventory search at MazdaUSA website? Are the cars listed all cars alloted to that dealership, cars that have already been delivered, cars on their lot...?
Thanks

You're much better off going to the dealers personal website (usually not linked through MazdaUSA but can easily be found by doing a google search on the dealerships name). They seemed to be much more up-to-date and accurate when I was shopping around about a month ago.

The mazda site is very inaccurate. It will list cars not yet on the lot (scheduled to be delivered in 1-2 months), and it will also list cars that have been sold. My car was on the site for at least a month after I bought it. Maybe longer but I quit checking.

Hmmm...
I would have guessed it to be pretty accurate. What I expected it WOULDN'T show is cars that are committed. I work for a dealer (non-mazda) and our system is REALLY accurate through the manufacturer - if the vehicle has been delivered to my lot, and the warranty has NOT been electronically registered, it will show up on an inventory search. But it will not show if I have taken a deposit on the unit, or committed it to a dealer trade.
I had a dealer jerking me around about wanting me to pay $200 for them to bring in the model of my choice. I was able to tell him that their OTHER Mazda dealership (2hrs away) had FOUR of the model/options I was looking for in stock according to Mazda's inventory search. The salesman seemed to think it was accurate too because all he said was "oh... well, then it will be easy to get you one."
