Getting my black 2004 tomorrow!
My dealer in San Francisco found a black grand touring with navigation (which I don't want, but it was the closest to my preferences). It has to be driven pretty far from a place called Roseville, CA. A couple of hundred miles, I think. I'm a little worried about how they'll drive it--- 9000 rpm all the way?
I'm getting the 3250 rebate and I should be able to get the college grad rebate.
I used to own a Mazda 626, but Mazda customer help said that not all former Mazda owners are on the list. And, of course, I'm not.
I asked about the Gerber rebate and he said that I don't qualify. Only if you're on Gerber's pre-selected list. Does anybody know about that?
I can't wait. I test drove the RX-8, a 350z, and a Crossfire last weekend. No comparison. The z and the Crossfire were heavy-feeling and not so much fun to drive. I'm going crazy waiting!

utente - we have the same ride friend. I'm in the Northeast now, keeping a cover on my 2-week old 8, and will be driving out to SoCal to stay in another 2-weeks. I can't wait. 3 days in the car (maybe 2 if I am having too much fun).
You'll love it as much as you think. Smooth and fun.
